Selena Gomez is seeking treatment after suffering an emotional breakdown while in the hospital, a source confirms to PEOPLE. The 26-year-old singer was hospitalized twice within the last few weeks, both times for a low white blood cell count, which can be a side effect for kidney transplant patients. During her second visit, Gomez suffered a panic attack. A source tells PEOPLE: “She realized she needed to seek additional help for her ongoing emotional issues. She’s surrounded by close family and has a lot of support. She’s doing better now and is seeking treatment on the East Coast.” The singer is undergoing dialectical behavior therapy, a therapy method designed to help try to identify, and then change, negative thinking and behavioral patterns, the source says.
Royal Couple Trying For a Baby: The royal family may be growing sooner than we think. Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan are “trying for a baby,” a source reveals in the new issue of Us Weekly. “They both want a big family, at least three kids,” the source notes of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex. In the meantime, the source adds that the former “Suits” actress plans to stay busy, and is “starting to feel more settled” in her new role.
Owen Wilson welcomed a baby girl earlier this week. A woman named Varunie Vongsvirates, who had a brief fling with the actor, gave birth to his child on Tuesday. After she had become pregnant and claimed that Wilson was the father, the actor agreed to take a paternity test which confirmed it without a doubt. Wilson, who will turn 50 next month, already has two kids from previous relationships.
REPORT HINTS AT TROUBLE BETWEEN BRADLEY COPPER AND IRINA SHAYK: Bradley Cooper is earning rave reviews in Hollywood for A Star Is Born, but things appear shakier on the home front, Page Six reports. Cooper and his baby mama Irina Shayk dined at Masa in Time Warner Center this week. “They were not looking happy,” a spy told Page Six. “The couple sat down. He was in a hoodie and she was fresh-faced — no makeup — and they barely spoke to each other at the start of the meal. Halfway through, she started looking off to the side and he was moody.” They welcomed their first child, Lea, together last year.
After finalizing her divorce from Ben Affleck, Jennifer Garner is officially back in the dating game, according to People. She’s been notably reticent about dating again, especially when compared to Affleck, who just in the past year has had two well-documented flings. “Jen has been wanting to move on and now when the divorce is finalized, she finally can,” a source tells People. “She has been on dates, but it seems she isn’t serious about a guy. As always, she is mostly focused on her kids and her job.”
FORMER MLB ALL-STAR INDICTED FOR COCAINE, METH, TERRORISTIC THREATS: Former Major League Baseball three-time All-Star (and former Tidewater Tide back in the day) Lenny Dykstra was indicted in New Jersey yesterday (October 10th) on charges of meth and cocaine possession and making terroristic threats. The former New York Mets and Philadelphia Phillies outfielder was arrested in May after he allegedly put a weapon to an Uber driver’s head and threatened to kill him. Police also found evidence of cocaine and meth in his bag. The 55-year-old Dykstra has had other legal troubles since retiring from baseball in 1996 after 12 seasons, including pleading no contest to grand theft auto charges in 2011 and guilty to bankruptcy fraud in 2012. Dykstra won the World Series with the Mets in 1986, and finished second in MVP voting with the Phillies in 1993.
