Meghan Markle’s family drama just won’t dissipate. The latest has Duchess of Sussex’s nephew Tyler Dooley, 25, cast in MTV’s The Royal World. Tyler is the son of Meghan’s estranged half-brother, Thomas Markle Jr. The show is set to premiere on November 7th. The unscripted series follows the lives of young royals, aristocrats (and wannabes) as they come together to live in the English countryside and have their every moment filmed. Tyler doesn’t just leverage his “aunty” for reality TV fame, he has also uses the connection to highlight his marijuana dispensary in Oregon. It’s called Royally Grown, and he offers one strain called Meghan Sparkle, which his site describes as “extremely potent.”
Taylor Swift gets credit for a spike in voter registration: Look what Taylor Swift made people do. Following the superstar’s first political statement, voter registration nationwide and in her home state of Tennessee has seen a significant increase. A spokesperson for Vote.org says the site has seen more than 105,000 new registrations since Sunday evening, when Swift’s post went up and pointed to the site.
Rosie O’Donnell is hoping the third time’s a charm when it comes to marriages. The 56-year-old comedian and actor recently got engaged to her 33-year-old police officer girlfriend, Elizabeth Rooney. O’Donnell has been married twice before.
Bill Cosby was not the victim of a chicken-flinging. This week, a rumor caught fire saying that the Cos had gotten into a verbal spat with a fellow inmate, who then chucked a breaded cutlet at him. But prison officials in Pennsylvania say the story is totally false, noting that Cosby hasn’t even been put into general population yet. Cosby is two weeks into his three- to 10-year sentence for sexual assault.
Faith Hill Joins RuPaul and Drew Barrymore in New Talent Competition: Faith Hill has signed on to judge CBS’s new global competition series, “The World’s Best”, along with RuPaul and Drew Barrymore. The show – which is produced by American Idol’s Mike Darnell and The Voice and Survivor’s Mark Burnett – promises to feature acts from every genre around the world. James Corden is set to host and executive produce the series, which will debut in 2019.
