Former Olympic skier Bode Miller and his wife Morgan have welcomed a baby boy — just four months after the tragic drowning of their 19-month-old daughter. The couple’s son, who has not yet been named, was born on Friday. Their daughter, Emeline Grier, died on June 10th after an accidental drowning in a neighbor’s pool. Meghan Markle’s estranged sister tried to visit the new royal at Kensington Palace, but the family reunion never happened. Britain’s Sunday Mirror says Samantha Markle “flew to the U.K. determined to confront her younger sibling after a bitter fall out.” Samantha “arrived uninvited at the home the Duchess of Sussex shares with Prince Harry” but got “locked in an embarrassing stand off with police guarding the gates.” In the end, she was forced to leave a note for her half-sister and leave the premises. A source says, “This was a huge move on the part of Meghan’s sister to try to see her face to face and the fact she was turned away speaks volumes.” Samantha has been on the war path since being denied an invite to the royal wedding.
HFPA APOLOGIZES TO DREW BARRYMORE: The Hollywood Foreign Press Association (they put on the Golden Globes) is apologizing to Drew Barrymore for a bizarre EgyptAir magazine interview that went viral last week. The piece included observations about her “failed relationships” and misquotes about her approach to parenting. It was written by former association prez Aida-Takla-Reilly. “Ms. Barrymore has been interviewed by HFPA members many times and we always appreciate her willingness to speak to us,” they said in a statement. “As an organization comprised of journalists, the HFPA expects its members to uphold the highest degree of integrity in their journalistic activities. Based on our preliminary investigation, we understand that parts of the article in question were not written by Dr. Takla-O’Reilly and that other portions of the article may have come from other sources. We regret any distress caused to Ms. Barrymore by this article.”

SARAH HYLAND’S BOYFRIEND WELLS ADAMS DEFENDS HER AGAINST TROLLS: The Modern Family star Sarah Hyland posted a shot of herself in a bikini along with the hashtag “#feelinmyselffriday.” While many joined her assessment of the situation (including Paris Hilton), there were naturally some naysayers in the bunch. One troll advised her to “eat a doughnut,” at which point Hyland’s boyfriend Bachelor in Paradise star Wells Adams, rejoined with some advice of his own. “Eat s—,” he responded, per Instagrammers Comments by Celebs. Hyland, who suffers from complications due to kidney dysplasia, has spoken out many times on how body-shaming happens to skinny people too.
AND FINALLY, TODAY’S CELEBRITY TWEET OF THE DAY. I SORTA FEEL THE SAME WAY!
I’m making a serious push to be named People Magazine’s “Sexiest Man Alive” next time. Frankly, I think the “alive” part has been my biggest obstacle.
