BROUGHT TO YOU BY ONE HOUR HEATING & A/C!

Ben Affleck’s role in Batman has long been in question (especially after the Justice League tanked), and now his stint in rehab may sink it. But not for the reason you may think: the cost of insurance has gotten too high, experts tell The Wrap. Affleck checked himself into rehab last week for the third time in the last two decades, and the second time in a little more than a year, which may price him out of tentpoles like The Batman. The insider said that insurers, at a minimum, may demand half of the film’s budget to be set aside as escrow, which could quickly add up as the production budget on Justice League was $300 million (that would drive the budget for a Justice League sequel up to $450 million, before marketing expenses).

JIMMY FALLON SHELLS OUT $1K FOR STRANGERS’ DINNERS: Jimmy Fallon and his wife Nancy Juvonen were dining at Il Mulino in the Hamptons when he noticed a table of four nearby that looked fabulously happy. So happy, in fact, he decided to pay their tab, Page Six reports. “He said he appreciated how happy” the group looked “and how they were ‘enjoying each other’s company,’ ” the source said…

Johnny Depp has scored a big legal victory against his former talent lawyer, Jake Bloom. L.A. Judge Terry Green has ruled that Depp’s oral contract with Bloom is invalid, and observers say reverberations from the decision will be felt across Hollywood. Depp sued Bloom in October, asserting that he collected more than $30 million in contingent fees without a formal contract; Bloom countersued, claiming a 1999 oral agreement should be considered valid. Depp is now seeking to recoup million in legal fees paid out over 18 years. The case is set for trial on May 6th. Bloom’s attorneys make seek to appeal the judge’s decision.

SALMA HAYEK’S HUSBAND SURPRISES HER WITH VOW RENEWALSalma Hayek’s husband Francois-Henri Pinault surprised her on vacation by organizing a ceremony for them to renew their vows. Their daughter Valentina Paloma Pinault was a witness. “The summer is coming to an end and my best moment was when my husband surprised me with a vow renewal,” the 51-year-old shared.

Harvey Weinstein has asked a judge to throw out Ashley Judd‘s lawsuit against him. His lawyers filed papers to dismiss the case, according to TMZ, arguing that she “can’t prove he blackballed her out of a huge role.” But, in documents obtained by TMZ, his lawyers claim “her suit is based on a 2017 article where director Peter Jackson speculated Ashley wasn’t hired for a Lord of the Rings role due to Weinstein blackballing her.” In her suit, Ashley says Weinstein torpedoed her career because she rejected his sexual advances in a hotel room. He says the alleged incident was “neither severe nor pervasive.”
